Call for Submissions

Quaker History invites submissions from new and established scholars, Quakers and non-Quakers, who are researching historical events and Quaker contributions to issues such as social justice, education, and diplomacy. The journal welcomes a variety of approaches to Quaker history, including original research articles, material culture studies, and historiographical essays. In addition, proposals are invited for focus issues of the journal that seek to present a range of perspectives on a single topic.

Manuscripts submitted to Quaker History should not be under consideration by any other publishers, nor may the manuscript have been previously published elsewhere.

Submission Instructions

Manuscripts should run 5,000 to 10,000 words including notes. The text should be double-spaced in 12-point font. Contributors should use MLA or Chicago Manual of Style. Submit electronic manuscripts to the editor at Julie_Holcomb@baylor.edu.

Submissions are subject to blind peer review.

To propose a focus issue of Quaker History, please submit a 500-word proposal describing the topic and a list of authors.
